Hi Guys,
First time useing XOOPS and is seems that it will do what I am looking for. However I have ran into a problem. My test box is XP pro using Apache 2, php 4.3.10, and MQSQL 4.0.23. The install went well and I am able to login and work with the admin console, but when I goto my "home page" I loose the XOOPS framework and view the contents of my root directory. This is the default installation and I have not made any changes to xoops. Is this normal behavior?

Second,
Is there a module that will allow me to embed a web page from another server? I have four web pages that I would like to incorporate into a single desktop.

Thanks!

Your first problem is an Apache configuration issue... you need to configure it to read index.php files.

In httpd.conf add "index.php" to this config setting :

# DirectoryIndex: sets the file that Apache will serve if a directory
# is requested.
#
DirectoryIndex index
.html index.htm index.shtml index.php

For your second question you could try the Digest module. I haven't used it, but the description sounds like it might be able to do what you want.

Welcome to XOOPS

Thanks Rowdie! That was exactly it. Also thanks for pointing out Digest. I will continue to work with it to see if I can get it to do what I need.

Thanks Again!
