I've created my own module, which consists of a couple of pages. On the main page I want a block to show. But on subsequent pages of this module it should not. How do I do this? I know I can assign a block to a single module, but is there a way to assign a block only to one page of the module?

Keep in mind that I developed the module myself, so I can hack it all I like.

There's two reasons I want a block there (rather than just a piece of text in the template, which is my current solution): it should be editable by the administrator and it should display in the same way that blocks on other pages do.

Help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you ever find a way to do this? I would like to have a custom block show only on a particular inside page of one module (Forum, in this case). Is it possible?
