I am a new user to XOOPS but very familier with this type of website. I use to use e107 but it doesent compare to xoops. Congrats to XOOPS for an amazing website program!

My Question :

I have the default 'download' module installed but i would like to make some catogorys public and some private. I dont see any option for this. In my group permissions i can set it to let someone view all the downloads section or none at all. Is there a way to e.g. allow a user to few public downloads but set permisions so that he cant view private downloads. Any detaild help would be great.

I would check the module repository for download modules that match your requirements. mydownloads is pretty basic. I myself use wfdownloads, it gives more control. Try the available modules and see what works best for your application.
