I want users to be able to leave comments on various content pages, but I do not know how to approach it. I have XOOPS running on my linux machine, and I have looked around it for hours and not been able to figure out how to do it.

2.6 of the Operator's Guide says that:
"Site administrators have the option of providing a comments section for users. Comments can be added to many modules and displayed in a variety of ways."

How do I get the area that contains the "Order First" combo box, "Refresh" button "Post Comment" button, and associated comments that people have made to a specific page? The comment area I am talking about is such as the one at this page.

Thanks,
Dean

"Which module?"- I am afraid I cannot answer your question. I do not know what you mean. I want to be able to have a comment area simular to the one at the link provided in my first message.

Let me restate my question: How does one go about adding such a comment area to their web pages?

It's not that easy. You can do it easiest with a module which has this feature. It can be done as part of the XOOPS api. If you are not a developer try adding you content with a module that supports comments.

I am learning php, but am not a pro yet. Can you give me some hints on how it could be done as part of the XOOPS api?

The comments that I linked to... how did they get there?

Thanks,
Dean

BTW : I recommend using the comment files from the polls module in Step 2. I had trouble with those from weblinks.

hope it helps.
