XOOP used for business directory

I have a client who is interested in building what I guess one would call a business directory or yellow pages site. Basically, if one wanted to pull up a list of autobody shops in your town, it would dynamically produce a webpage containing the autobody listings for the town you specified.

Is XOOPS a good way of building such a site? And can anyone point me at an XOOPS-based business directory or yellow pages site?

TIA

Yes it is a good choice for building such a site. Check out this site as an example.

I couldn't think of an easier way, than using XOOPS.

Check out dev.xoops.org for different projects regarding the setup of online directories.

My recommendation would be Marcan's SmartPartners, download and install it, have a play around, and I believe you will quickly believe to have found what you have been looking for.
