http://dev.xoops.org/modules/xfmod/project/?group_id=1198

Here is a new version of xDirectory called XOOPS Directory 'xyp4all'

I'm not sure what the special features are but the introduction is interesting. Lemme know.

Yes the introduction is appealing. The download is not.

Here what folsomliving has:

- E-commerce (paypal only) for a monthly subscription or a one year subscription where you get one month free.
- Multiple categories
- Coupons
- Alphabetical Listings
- Premium Listings with start and expiration dates(premium listings can be defined for each category the listing appears in)
- Ratings now have comments
- e-Mail form
- Malls
- WiFi Hotspots
- Modify listing is restricted to the owner of the listing.

My feeling is the multiple categories, the coupons, alpha listing and premium features are the most important for a yellow pages style directory. xzp4all is going the route of a white pages contact guide.

Thanks bjbtexas.

I also love the coupon feature!! Are you planning on adding the coupon feature any time soon?

Thanks again.

While install this module, I found out that the search is searching for the whole site. It would be nice to only seach the yellow pages and then diplay the results.

I am new to xoops, but I think it is doable with the advance search with yellow pages checked. Is this right?

Anyone thinking of adding this feature?

I am new to XOOPS (a week maybe), so please don't laugh if this make no sense at all...

Here is what I am thinking about duplicate Categories:

1. In table xidr_links, use char instead int for cid. So it will look like this "cid1,cid2,cid4" if it belong to these three categories.

2. Whenever we need to refer to the xdir_link, we need to first extract all the cids. And then treat each cid with the rest of the fields as one tuple (row). In other word, a link with 3 cids, will be treated as thee rows and the only difference between them is the cid.

Let me know if this will work or not ...
