How does one remove the 'submit' link that comes with the core weblinks module?

My site does will not be having user registration, and so I do not want anonymous users to click on the submit button and get told they have to login and sent to somewhere they can register etc.

comment out (put // in front of) these lines
$modversion['sub'][1]['name'] = _MI_MYLINKS_SMNAME1;
$modversion['sub'][1]['url'] = "submit.php";

in modules/mylinks/xoops_version.php
