I'm trying to do a very simple thing, and it is driving me mad! I have made a website using the theme 4metal, which by default has a link to faq/help, and I want to get rid of it! what is the easiest way to do so?

Another problem I am having is using the same module for multiple pages... how do you do this?

thanks

Hello jimtendo and welcome to XOOPS forums

I dont know this theme personally, but usually these fixed links are found ahard-coded in the file theme.html

This is found in your theme folder.

Open the file in a suitable editor and either change the link URL and link wording or delete it altogether.

If the theme is already installed, you will need to go to admin> preferences> general settings and set your Update module template .html files from themes/your theme/templates directory? to YES

Also delete the contents of templates_c directory and purge your browser cache.
Regarding the module over sevarl pages... depends on the module. A content module usually does this automatically, other dont. Post back nore details.

Thanks for the speedy reply! I solved the first problem with your help, now onto the second. My problem is that I have a frontpage with the latest news on the site, which incorporates the standard 'news' module. In this news section will be reviews and previews which I want to archive in a 'reviews and previews' section, with the same formatting. How is this done?

thanks

Seems to me that in your admin panel under System Admin --> Preferences --> General Settings --> Module for your Start Page set to the FAQ module, or possibly no module selected at all.

Try setting that to a module like New's and populate the news module with a small article announcing your site. Things may fall into place for you then..

Also, remember to set the Group permissions for anonymous users, otherwise they won't be able to see all your hard work.
