Thank you so much for your answer guy

In fact, I did not delete the folders but only the files inside.

I try everything you said, chmods are correct...

There's something strange : http://yoursite.com/modules/system/admin.php?fct=groups&op=modify&g_id=1, when I reached this page, there's system admin right !!! This first line is empty !

Should it be a mySQL trouble ??

Thanks in advance

Geoffrey

(PS : Well, my site is too big, i don't want to reinstall it...)

Go to groups admin and click modify on the webmasters group. Then click modify button at the bottom (even if you don't change anything). It should reset your admin icons.

Webmasters should have system admin rights and module admin rights for all boxes.

Hey Burnzy,

If your unsure or you don't know exactly what your talking about please don't post. I know your trying to help but your answers are actually so far off the mark its untrue.

The cache and templates.c folders are used by Xoops. The cache folder speaks for it self and the templates folder is used by smarty.

Sometimes it is required that you actually delete these files in order to rebuild XOOPS templates.

If you where to delete these folders then no harm would be done, as all that would be required is to recreate them and give them the required permissions.

Thanks for answer, ronhab

It's doesn't work : i still don't see the system admin right box for the webmaster groups...

Is there something to modify in the databases to fix this problem ? Or maybe a file to modify ?

They moved the FAQ on ya, Catz.

https://xoops.org/modules/smartfaq/faq.php?faqid=276

Take a look there. Sorry, I forgot to add "and then update your system module".

Did you make sure that the cache and templates folders are chmod to 777? If they are not then this could prevent the admin menu from actually updating.

Hmm, only other things I can think of is to rename/delete the adminmenu.php file in the cache folder after those steps (I think you tried that though) or trying a different browser/clear your current browser's cache.
