Newbb2 problem

Just upgraded and the categories are and messages are not showing. In the admin section is says they exist. So when i goto in add a new Category to try to start over i get " Database Error" Any suggestions ?

I've got a similar problem: the upgrade is done and the board works fine for the admins but registered and anonymous users can't view the categories nor forums... It's like this part is skipped, because the rest like total topics and posts is still there. In my admin panel I've set the reg users and anon users both to have access to my board.
Who can help???

I just figured a way around it!. ITs probably the wrong way but. I deactivated my forum then uninstalled it. Then uploaded the bb to the mod directory again using a differnt foldering. Installed it and it worked!. Thanks God I just installed my site last week so i only had a few post. And yeah your problem was the same one that I had. Check out my site www.blessedbeats.net

Problem solved: category and forum permissions.

But new problem: nobody, even the admins, can reply/edit/start new topic no more. Although the permissions for each category and forum are set so that it must be possible! Help plz...

That's because the quick-reply was enabled! Now I disabled it, but I don't know what I can do to make the reply and new topic buttons to appear...

Aha they're back: it's due to stupid IE and its difficulty with gif and png...
Now firefox convinced me
