Hmm, looked at "contact plus" Not sure if it allows a running tally of all the comments.

What I want is a comment log that's visible to everyone, right there on the top page..

Can any of your recommendations be modified to do that?

Meh.. I just make a guest book forum and allow for anonymous post. That way I can reply to each visitor.

Well I tried the guestbook and I didn't like it at all. That's not what I wanted. It's too complex. I want a simple javascript application on my main page with a text box where everyone can post or paste a comment with one or two clicks.

I also want these comments to remain visible on their own -- sort of like a running log.

Any ideas?

Try the Shoutbox. It sounds like that's what you're looking for.

Thanks, but already have it.

I took a look at your site and your sample site. I would use PopnupBLOG2 redwood city.. It has the features you are looking for and many others. It might not look exactly like you want right out of the box. You could make it you homepage with the spotlight news block above it and you would be much like the example you cited.

Thanks for the compliment on the logo its original!

Your subject matter is loved by the search engines. If you would use original content they would not leave you alone.

The name works everyone I go. I don't have to try an guess a new one each time.

One last tip for your page title. Narrow it down to the subject matter. News is much too broad. You would have a hard time finding it in a search request.
