Is Horoscope Module Spyware?

I installed that horoscope module yesterday and it was nothing but a commercial advertising product, which got me thinking -- is it sypware? Is it safe?

It was also in French -- not a word of English. What if there's someone over there in Paris getting all my credit card information from this worthless module?
