Hi ! My hosting provider is having problems with phpmail() and I decided to use an SMTP account to send registration confirmations and new topics alerts but appears a message saying this:

"Language string failed to load: connect_host
Can`t send mail to user."

And, in the DEBUG INFO appears this another message:

"Warning [PHP]: fsockopen(): unable to connect to smtp.hotpop.com:25 in file /usr/export/www/hosting/my_test/class/mail/phpmailer/class.smtp.php line 105"

I´ve configuren XOOPS in SMTP Auth
SMTP Server: smtp.hotpop.com
User: myaccount@hotpop.com
Pass: my_password_at_hotpop

This same configurations works fine with Mambo and phpBB in my hosting and Localhost but there is no way with XOOPS 2.0.7.3 and 2.0.9 (The versions that I´ve tried).

Can somebody tell me what´s happening and what can I do to solve my problem ??? Is urgent to me !!!!!

I'm having the same problem sending from any form. Contact Us module, Liases module etc... all of them doesn't work.

Xoops having some problem.!!! IMportatn please fix this.
