Flat view in forums as default

I can't figure this out. I've looked everywhere, but can't find it. Maybe I'm missing something...

I want the default view in my forums as "flat". Right now it isn't flat, and is annoying. How do I change it?

I hope you can help me!

It would be nice if it came standard, as most forums out there no longer use threaded views.
