hallo,

i'm planing to use xDirectory module on my site.
I have a question about this module.

Is it possible a registered user to add a photo on this data?
i install the module for a test but i can't find this option. Only admin can add a photo.

Do you know about this or do you suggest to me test sites?

Can I also add a question or two?

1. Does xDirectory allow custom fields to be created?

2. Can listings be associated with multiple categories?

3. Can I 'lock' various fields and allow only changes by the user to certain fields?

I have been looking at Mambo's mosDirectory but think the overall symplicity of XOOPS CMS meets my needs better.

In reply to both questions, xdirectory is the best yellow pages type module I have been able to find for Xoops. However, it will have to be extensively tweaked to do what you want beyond the basics. It would be nice if it handled things like accepting payment for premium listings as well as some of the other things asked about --but it doesn't.

Do a search on "yellow page" here and look for a thread that links to an example site using xdirectory. That site owner modified the code pretty extensively and did a good job.
