It would be *so* nice, if when you receive a notification about a new forum thread, instead of the summary reading:

Quote:
[Official XOOPS Website] Support Forums auto-notify : New post in thread

it read:

Quote:
[Official XOOPS Website] Support Forums auto-notify : New post in thread 'Feature Requests'

Then I could delete multiple notifications for the posts I have just read in that thread.

I agree. How about posting this on the tracker: http://dev.xoops.org/modules/xfmod/tracker/index.php?group_id=1001&atid=107

Many, many, moons have passed since I first asked about this and sadly there is still no way to reliably bulk-delete notifications. I have just deleted 30 or so and it took forever because I have to check every one.

Surely some PHP demon in the core team can take the variable that displays:

A new post has been added to the topic "The topic I am following".

and stick it under the summary that says:

[Official XOOPS Website]
Support Forums auto-notify :
New post in thread

It would make everything soooo o o o much easier.

A thread is for life. Not just for Christmas.

It appears that the CMS that powers dev.xoops.org has this capability...
Quote:
[Official XOOPS Development Site] XOOPS Dev Forge auto-notify :: xHelp :: Support Requests :: ticket closed - email contains resolution !

Any idea when, or if, this feature will be available for us mere mortals?
A thread is for life. Not just for Christmas.
