Hi, all.

I have a new install of Xoops, and newBB2.0.

How can I have the first page of the forum show only the categories and top forums, then drill down to show the sub forums available? I want to organize the list, to keep it from getting too long.

thanks,
steve

Not sure if this helps but you might notice that you can expand and collapse categories for a cleaner look. That is saved I assume in a cookie so it remembers your preference.

Thanks, Don.

I did not even realize that the items collapsed like that. It is not really what I am looking for. I will probably need to make my forums more general to cut down on clutter.

If I understand you, you don't want your sub-forums to be shown on index page ?

I think you shoul play with templates. In a template of Index, remove a sub-forums entry ... Then update that template ... hope this help you.

Bye.

currently you have to play with the templates, on the ToDo for the 2.1 version, where will be a option setting in the preference for normal view, compact view and disable on indexpage.
