Hi all!
Thanks for the interest. I have no definate design in mind, but I do have a style in mind. I'll post part of an e-mail I sent out to a themer interested in the job. I guess I might be demanding and it won't be an easy job, but it can be done and I've got a budget for it, so you're getting something for your hard work, besides eternal fame and gratitude of all P4L members.
As far as colors go it might be good to stay in the blue-ish section? Any input appreciated. If you have more questions, post 'em or contact me. If you have an idea or see it in your minds-eye, draw it out in PS or something similar and give me a peek.

The website should be very smooth and soft. Meaning? Well, ever looked at a
korean game website like the link below?
http://www.roseon.com/There are lots more but I can't seem to remember the links atm. Ignore the
kiddy style, look at the general smoothness of the website. Now I know what
you think: that's not really a data filled portal, but it's the idea behind
it I like. It's kinda like you design a nice looking picture, whith the logo
and name in the top left and some smooth colors fading out or in to
something. Then you just slice it up and put it into tables so that you can
put your data blocks onto it. The blocks should feel 'one' with the design,
so no harsh lines or too cubic (roundness is loved by most
). It has to
be super slick, bubbling, alive with energy (like drinking 5 sixpacks of
red-bull). Some corporate themes have this thing going too, I'll try to find
some more good examples of these, but here are some.

of these, as an example off course, P4L style has to be unique
)
Also, the smiley has to stay in some way, but has to be redone (more 3d
maybe). A random pic (changes everytime you load the page, featuring
different versions of the smiley) maybe or a flash logo would be great too.
As you can see, the designer will need some good graphical skills.
