Hi

I have installed XOOPS and get the final screen, and get the "Click HERE to see the home page of your site." message. But when I click it, or go to view my XOOPS site, there is a blank screen, with the url in the title of IE...what’s up with it?

Thanks

I tried following the instructions mentioned above but they appear to be outdated for version 2.0.9.

After upgrading to 2.0.9 from 2.7.3 I get a blank page with this error showing.

Fatal error: _parse_resource_name(): Failed opening required '/home/bracket/public_html/class/smarty/core/core.load_resource_plugin.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/bracket/public_html/class/smarty/Smarty.class.php on line 1651
Warning [PHP]: _parse_resource_name(/home/bracket/public_html/class/smarty/core/core.load_resource_plugin.php): failed to open stream: Permission denied in file class/smarty/Smarty.class.php line 1651

Is this a permission error on my part?

When doing a fresh install of 2.0.9 I get the same results?

This is my first install. And its end up exatly the same way...

One more thing, error_reporting(0) is it correct? As much as I 've read about best pratice programming, this is not nice.

anyway, these problem are bugs or our faults?

What are the persmissions for the file in question? (smarty.class.php)?

Also are the cache, uploads, and templates_c set to 777 (world writable)?

After many files tranfers and much fustration the only way I got 2.0.9 to work was in a sub directory of my domain. I have been unable to make it work in the domain root.

Do the words final and stable mean anything with regards to XOOPS? I think alpha is a better description.

I am receving the same problem since the installation of 2.0.9.1
After logging in there is a blank page with "Don't access this site too continuously."

How do you repair this?

How is that the same problem as an error message about permissions?

I have never seen that message before and it is not anywhere in the XOOPS source code - can it be a server message? Hosting limitation? Anything like that?

you are welcome to see for yourself!

It was running fine with the beta, and the 209 final.

Today upgraded to 209.1 and POW! site no longer works!

Click here and see for yourself...

Your site works fine for me. Do you have XOOPS protector module installed?
