SMF Compatibility?

Is there a mod out there which allows XOOPS to be SMF compatible. I really like using SMF however i'm not a great coder and dont want to start getting myself in a mess. All i want is something that when u log into xoops, u've loged into the SMF forum aswell.

SMF - Simple Machines Forums. It's a really nice forum. You can see the website here

I don't know how hard it would be to bring it into xoops? Anyone ever tried?

Forums are generally quite complex scripts and therefore quite a job to convert. Especially since many of them become more and more like mini-CMS's themselves with database abstraction, logins, user stats and details, themes and much more.

What is in it that is unique? It looks pretty much like phpBB/newBB to me (I have only very swiftly browsed their forums, though)

You won't get me to do it, I am afraid.

Excuse me but it is nothing like phpbb.
SMF is one of the best php-scripts i have come across.
The module installation is a bit like Xoops, it is blazing fast, has a completa api and much more features then phpbb.

If you want to compare it, it is more in the line from vBulletin or Invision Power Board, but free.
