This problem only happens when I use Firefox 1.0 (Mozilla). This does not happen in Internet Explorer.

Xoops 2.0.7.3

When I go in to the administration area and choose to modify a user, in the Nickname text field is NOT the users nickname, but my own name....

Obviously this has something to do with forms and perhaps autofilling, and I have tried clearing all my caches and whatnot but it won't go away..

I tried digging around in the code but can't find the specific PHP file that relates to whats generated to try and change the name of the field to see if that fixes it...

It doesn't make sense why this field would get filled by anything other then what is generated by the website....

Any ideas? I'd rather not use IE... *lol*

Thanks!

Yeah, I have this same problem. I think it is filled in by your cookie info in firefox, same as in the contact form.

If there is a way to fix this I would like to know too.

1.0 final. This is not a sometimes thing, it is an all the time thing.

Isn't this from the saved password or form filling "feature"? I had this problem a long time ago and have since cleared out my saved passwords and forms. No problem anymore with 1.0 and in fact it won't save form data even if I wanted to and that is ok by me. Saved form data is handy but not secure.

Same here. I don't recall seeing the issue with earlier versions of Firefox.

I have "Saved Passwords" enabled, but not "Saved Form Information".

The name of that form field is "username", so I guess it's triggering on that.

Ok so it is keyed off the field name then?

Perhaps we can get XOOPS devs to change the field name so its not so generic? Say xoops_uname or something along the like?

To fix this thing I went into Firefox -> Tools -> Options -> View Saved Passwords -> Select the Username that is showing up in the field in XOOPS and select Remove. Done.

Still, should Firefox be doing this? Is this a standards issue with XOOPS coding or a bug in firefox?

Thanks
