I have noticed a few other postings similar to mine without much of a response. I have installed XOOPS on my localhost laptop running Apache 2.0.52, php 5.0.2, and MySQL 4.0.2. Everything seemed to go well but I too get a blank index.php homepage. Just a white screen.

Any hints would surely be helpful.

I've been having that same problem and have even gone through the FAQs, the install docs, checked the permissions, everything. I still end up with a blank page for the index and everything else is blank too. I can't go to the admin page.

It feels like we are being ignored for being newbies as I've had PM's that state RTFM but they don't point me to anything.

I love the project and have seen it running on other peoples systems.

I've even gone as far to change the page where it will be installed to XOOPS and that did not work.

Hmmmmm? It has to be something simple. Do you have your register globals on or off?

my host says they are off... where do I check this?
