Tree-style forum posting?

Is their a forum module that will display a "tree" of topics/responses? Or is there some other communication tool that can do this? I want users to be able to see the title of each post in a tree before reading the whole thing.

view mode --> threaded
and you can set it by default for all users but users can CHOOSE between flat and theaded view and you cant force them.( of course by hacking in files you can do anything)
