Hello Frank and welcome to XOOPS forums

In short the answer is YES you can easily add your own pages. The question is which way to do it?

There are content modules like wfsection, tiny content and a module by jackj called my-mod all of these allow your content to be added as html and are included in the menus.

THere is also a direct route adding the path to mainfile.php and header. The details are explained here HTML pages

You may also want to explore using a menu module like imenu or multimenu. These allow you to create a menu block and add your own pages that you have just created.

For you simple request, you might prefer something like Tinycontent, Edito, or even just the Section modules, which comes with the default install pack. All other modules can be found int the Module Repository's "Content Managment" section.

You might want to first create a test site, where you install the different modules, and check which one comes closest to your needs and requierements.

Hope this little addition is helpfull....
