News scoop on front page?

I for the life of me can't figure out how to have the teaser text, aka "the scoop" (hometext?) on the main front page. The "recent news" block just gives me the title and date. I'd like the news items to look like they do when you go to the news page. Is there a way to do this?

Thanks!

I have the same problem. Have tried several modules but all of them just shows the title... The blog modules I've tried does the same thing...

Go to the administrator page, click on system admin and choose prefferences. Click to edit general settings. There is a dropdown list by "Module for Your Start Page" select news, and you will have your recent news articles on your start page.

See my site, I have news there too.

But how do we get news on the front page without having the news module as the start page?

For example like this site has it?
