Hello Xoopizens,
I have installed XOOPS from my control panel (Fantastico)
The installation worked fine. I am getting the index page, but when i try to access the admin page it is redirected to index page (message :- You dont have the right to access this area).
I have Chmod the files as per instructions. I have removed my firewall and antivirus (Also spy script detector) but the problem persists. I have read almost all the post in the forums and still digging for help.
I have virus scanner ClaimAV installed on the server.
I am using Linux server with PHP and Apache.
Please could someone help me out.
Could it be possible for someone to make this as an FAQ as i see a lot of post in forums for this.

are you sure you've login with the right admin password?

yes of course.
I would like to know does my server Virus scan the problem.
I would really like to switch from HTML(Frontpage) to XOOPS if it works.

hi got thru admin access but now i dont have any modules installed. As i try to access the control panel area it shows me the following :

User Menu
View Account Edit Account Notifications Logout Inbox Administration Menu
Main Menu
Home

Also i dont see the graphics (Xoops logo, banner etc on the pages)
Am i moving right what is to be done next.
