seems like a simple task, but I want an "about us" page, but I want it to be skinned / themed / with the rest of the site.

ideas? can't be that difficult...

why don't you use WFChannel module available in Wf-Projects.com. You can use this module to add your about us html easily. have a try...

I have now downloaded and installed both of those modules - but I don't think they do what I want...

I want a link in the Main Menu for "About Us" and an "About Us" page opens up when you click on it, not an "index page" or something like that for all "simple content pages" (as there will be at least 4 or 5 of those).

Is there a way to do this with these new (for me) modules that I am missing?

Yes! of course you can do that... can you see "All About XOOPS" in this site? left block... it's a wfchannel. is that what you want right?

ps:- you can rename the module into "About Us" go to system admin -> modules. hope that make sense.
