Setting Forum View to "Flat"

I would like this to be set as default for every new user when they login and I can't find it in the XOOPS Admin. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

if you use newbb v2.0 rc3 you can simply go to forum preferencs and look for View Mode of the Threads.

but in newbb v1.0 go to system admin -> preferences -> edit general settings.

hope that make sense.
