I downloaded and tried to update from newbbpro to newbb2rc3. I forgot to deactivate and uninstall the old module before removing the newbb-directory. Then the update script would not work. So I removed the new newbb2-directory and transfered the old newbb again. But...

What should I do? I got houndreds of topics, posts and users waiting for the forum to be activated again. Please help.

OK... I should do a SEARCH before I ask the same question as a lot of others. Sorry.

But:
If I drop all the xoops_bb tables with phpAdmin and then try reinstall the old newbb, won't all posts/data be ereased? I really have to rescue all these categories/forums/topics/posts...

Can someone please try to help and explain this to a desperate DB-novise? Thanks...
