We finally did it!
WebMailFX 1.0RC1 is here, with tons of new features. Don't wait any more! Download it, use it, stress it, enjoy it and... give us feedback!!!!!
New features in this version:
-Group permissions which allow you to control several features.
-Security features such as "lock to xoops" which will prevent spammers and abuse on your server.
-User created webmail. Now you can list, erase and change mail quotas for your user@myserver.com accounts.
-New smtp class. This new class works with the vast majority of mail servers. It allows for multiple authentication methods.
-Attachments are now sent directly from users computer. No more worring about temporary files on your server.
-Integrated Help. Now you can access a help file from the admin menu with a detailed explanation of what each option does.

Thanks for a great module. It shows great potential.

I am having several issues it with however. All of them may be cured after this one works. When I add an email account to check it remembers them ok. But from the admin panel none of the information entered is added to the database. The database updated successfully displays but no data is in the database.

Am I overlooking a setting?

To all WebMailFX users:

Please have a look at the readme.txt file before reporting a non-working feature!
99,99% of the cases, a non-working feature is related to a missing CHMOD...

I hope you enjoy WebMailFX!

Creating the email account works OK but it still requires my intervention to set the email password. Is there any way to allow the user to set his own password?

Also I download the last version and I am unable to update any file. As you can see from my above post that it was working. I have triple checked all of the instructions.

Could you please better describe what's the problem?
What do you mean, for instance, for "I am unable to update any file"?
If you believe it's a bug, please report it to our project page on dev.xoops.org.
Bye,
ft
