Hello everyone,

first some general config info:

Localhost installation on:

* MySQL 4.1.7 general installation
* XOOPS 2.0.9 Beta
* Windows XP Pro SP2
* Using PHP 4.3.9 on IIS

brand new installation. After configuration of every piece of software above, i hopefully started install of Xoops, however: i encountered the following problem during install (just after the point where you need to confirm all your data (database, hostname, username, database name, etc...):

"Saving configuration data.. "
"Could not write into mainfile.php. Please check the file permission and try again."

Just above this page there's more:

"Warning: copy(../mainfile.php): failed to open stream: Permission denied in c:\inetpub\wwwroot\xoops\install\class\mainfilemanager.php on line 52"

This is very odd, considering i've added the IUSR to IIS and settled the correct permission upon this user for this directory and subdir's. I doublechecked within the file system, whereas all seems ok.

I've been working on this for quite some time now, but i can't figure this one out. All permissions seems correct, maybe a PHP error?

Could this be a problem with the 2.0.9 version??

I have the same problem and configuration. I was already blaming XP-sp2. What did you do to correct this?
