Sounds like a great idea! However, I think to do exactly what you need will require the use of a custom module, as in hire an XOOPS developer to build the module specifically to your needs. Others might have ideas of how this could be achieved with modules that already exit, but I don't know of any.

I think a module like this could have widespread use as it could be used for a lot more than just selling music. If you were to consider releasing it as a public module, it might be worth specing out the module then contacting a developer for a quote, and then start a pledge thread asking for people to help out with the costs.

I've just gone through a very similar process with a module I've had developed. I didn't get much response from my pledge thread, so I went ahead and had the module developed anyway and then set a donation target that had to be met before the module would be released publicly. Some brand this method as ransomware, which isn't exactly true as what we were asking for in donations was only a fraction of what the module cost to develop, but that's another story. Point being that it worked, and we recieved enough donations to ease the cost burden enough to warrant a public release. A module like this I'd say would cost at least $500US to develop, so unless you're made of money it might be a route worth considering if you think developing a module is worthwhile.

Do a search for "AMS" or "pledge thread" (minus "") to see my efforts. If you choose to take the route I did you WILL take some flak. Have a look at my AMS news item post for an example. One thing I learnt from my posting is that you have to be very careful of the way you word things, but regardless there are some members that will object to pay for use modules no matter what the circumstances. All you can put that down to is a difference of opinion. Feel free to PM me if you have any specific questions that you have that you mightn't feel comfortable posting here on the forums.

so how muc do you think it would cost to make a mod were when someone registers on my site it give themm like a not a subdomain but something likehttp://www.Eugneysoft.com/users/username

than thay can edit the center block to there own stuff and stream audio and make avable downloads and up load there own music than though a paypal account sell there own cds were we(the site host) would only get like a 10 or 5% of it hope this is understandable btw I code a little php still learning some

I simply can't answer that one for you Eugney as I am not a developer, otherwise I would've coded my own project . It does sound quite involved though, and I can see a bit of crossover with modules that already exist, but I don't think there is enough to be able to do what you want. I'm not sure how things would work on the paypal side of things. That bit would require some thought, and I most definately am not the resident Xoops/PayPal expert. You might want to contact some of the guys from the xDonations module for advise there.

Keep in mind that developers don't come cheap, and most will charge roughy between $30~$50US an hour. At that rate it won't take long to clock up $500US or more. If you have patience then you might be able to convince one of the module developers to make it for free, but I'd say if you want to see anything inside the next 6 months you'll need to get this done as a paid job.
