Dear All,

Have anyone install XOOPS on fedora 2? I've did some searching on google and support forum but not really helping..hoping to get advices from guru. Thanks in advance :)

OS : Fedora 2
Xoops version: XOOPS 2.0.7.3
Php version:php-4.3.8-2.1
httpd version: httpd-2.0.49-4
mysql version:mysql-3.23.58-9
mysql-server version:mysql-server-3.23.58-9

This are the step I run installation, please comment any mistake here.

1. /usr/bin/mysql_install_db
2. service mysqld start
3. service httpd start
4. mysqladmin -u root password 'xxx'
5. mysqladmin -u root -h www.abc.com password 'xxx'
6. MySQL -u root -p
7. create database hcc;
8. start browser and install xoops
9. at General configuration page
database : mysql
databse hostname:localhost
databse username : root
database password : xxx
databse name : hcc
table prefix : xoops
10..
11. Blank page occured after databse confirm button

Sorry to dump a long coding but I think this might help. There is the error_log in /var/log/httpd.

Make sure you have php-mysql installed properly.

Please do not double-post in the future - it is an unspoken rule here. Double-posted questions tend to be ignored by many.

Did you solve your problem?

Everyone makes mistakes. XOOPS community support is fast and friendly, a single post would get most people's attention. Just bump the thread up if it does not get answered.

Could you be more specific? I'm having the same problem on Fedora Core 3. HOW did you solve your problem?

Thanks in advance.
