okay... i downloaded a theme... i set it up as instructed... uploaded the tar gz thing and transferred the theme into the theme folder...

but, even tho the theme shows up in my menu when i set it for default nothing happens... i check the site in a new window and it is still the same default theme that came with the package... and even then, the package came with two other themes, and when i select each of those nothing happens as well

any suggestions?

Did you select them in System>Preferences>General Settings>Selectable themes? You have to hold down the control key and click on them to select multiple themes. (in Windows anyhow)

yes i did... i tried all of them in that menu

awww man.. the only way i got it to work was to add themes to a block, and then select it from there... is there a way to make it a permanent thing, even for first time and unlogged visitors???

ahhh... i finally got it... there are two menus in tha preferences... lol.. silly me

good for you :)

If you look in the Modules Repository, you'll find a module called XT-Temas which allows logged-in visitors to select a theme as their choice, if you wish. It's basically a block that replaces the usual themes block.

I downloaded these themes, alightfc and fiapplepink and I can't find out what the tar file is named... anybody help me!
