Block on Annoymous top page

I have tried adding a Block to Annoymous and settnig it to display on the front page.

It creates the block under registered users, how can i create blocks that will be seen only on the top page and only by the Annoymous group?

Pretty easily. Go into System/Groups. Select anonymous and check the box for that block. Then go into the registered and webmasters groups and Uncheck the same box. Now only anonymous will see the block. This is a good way to have a different look for logged in users.
