Possible for users to mass communicate (sending PM)?

I would like my registered users to be able to send PM's (or possibly emails) to groups or all registered users.

Are there any good solutions to do that?

I suppose one way would be to add a "send pm to all" button in the xoopsmembers_searchresults.html template, and add a function in pmlite.php which uses the standard forms etc. and then loops user by user and sends the pm.

Is there anything I need to consider?

I would like this to, no id. how to do this.
maybe with a checkbox so you can check what users to send mail to. is there someone ho would be able to solf this problem.
