Hello,

As newbie to xoops, I hope somebody can help me with the following problem: During installation, everything went green, but when I wanted to start I got a blank page. I afterwards turned the error-reporting on (with provided sql-script) and got the following error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: session_set_save_handler() in /srv/www/htdocs/xoops/include/common.php on line 178.

I opened this file, but did not see any particular reasons for this behavior.

Please help ) !

Thanks for your message. I got that link before, but as you gave it to me again, I was looking if it was the same, and then discovered, that there was a comment-section who could be turned on. Inside this comment section, Curtis Grote from Memorial Hospital proposed the solution: if you use SUSE 9.1, you have to install the php4-session package also. This made my system working.
