Ported it, however having little problems. Somehow flash always checks for files at the path where it is. So, if block is not at the module itself it won't find files it needs...

However, if that's not a problem (you will have to place two files everywhere you place the block) pm with ya e-mail. Will e-mail you the module.

To download Flashshout, goto here:

Sorry,

I'm new to XOOPS - how do I have in a block ??

I've copied the files to the root - what code do I need to put in my custom block to have it display ?

Cheers

Like I answered in your PM, you don't have to make a custom block, you can just use the default block that comes with the module.

Read the file doc/readme.txt for more info.

I can't get the block to show. The module works fine - but no block appears anywhere.

The module comes with a block Mith, see in the block admin, and enable it where you want it visible.

Then check doc/readme.txt, so that you know what files you need to copy & paste to get the block working. Why this way? Well, the flash always checks for the needed php files, were you are surfing. So, if you place the flash block visible in the news module, it will check for the files "modules/news/addshout.php" and "modules/news/fetchshout(side).php".

For this example you will have to copy the three php files located in doc\for_module\*.php to modules/news.

Hopes this helps

Oh, thought you had fixed that - misread your previous posts.

I'll wait until you've found a solution - looking good, though.

To fix that, I will have to get my hands on the fla of the flash. Will ask the author of the flash to make a modified version.
