I was reading up on the forums about templates_c folder. trying to figure out if that might be the case my shoutbox has all black body and black text. I have many files in this templates_folder....will erasing them...may cure my shoutbox problems? Can I erase all these files in the template_c folder..with out having bad effect on my site?

Those are compiled templates, and they're automatically regenerated whenever the corresponding template is compiled. You can delete files from templates_c whenever you want. Except that if there's an index.html file present, that should be left in place, to prevent people from seeing a list of the files in that directory.

Its funny, cause I knew nothing about CSS...until I wanted to fix that block....now I do..lol....And my site looks 10 times better now...btw, I decided not to put the shoutbox up....think it might take away from forum convos.. *smile*
