Hi,

I just succesfully (apparently) installed XOOPS, but I get a blank page on the site. I've reviewed the steps outlined to troubleshoot this problem, but there's a fundamental flaw in the instructions...

How am I supposed to login if the page is blank? (to disable gzip, cuz I don't have it).

Here's my config in case it helps:

Apache 1.3.31
PHP 4.3.8
XOOPS 2.0.7
register_globals On

wow, thanks for your fast reply. unfortunately, that page is also blank... I tried admin.php, and it does show some content, but it redirects automatically back to the root.

does WinXP's firewall count?

Anyway, I was going to test WebGUI, XOOPS and MAMBO, and since I already installed MAMBO flawlessly, I think I'm going to wait for the next release of XOOPS to test again...

A firewall never leads to a blank page (at least in the core)

Follow the steps in the wiki on how to trouble-shoot blank pages.

My guess is a typo or similar in the paths or database information.
