the starting module is one of trabis's dummy modules

the starting module is now NONE and the theme is Zetagenesis

can you see it?

We are back to "Unknown SEO method."

If you want, email me your Admin login/password, as well as FTP and phpMyAdmin passwords, and I'll look into it.

Since I am one of those who cannot see it, maybe it will be easier to find the error.

Just to update everyone

I gave Mamba full access to my website and he spent a few hours checking everything.

It seems the problem is 2 blocks on the main page that were created by Publisher. Random Article, and Recent Article List.

Not only did they kill the site, but they boosted memory usage on the server to 20 MB

I'm not sure why that happened. Everything was fine until yesterday, and there was nothing in the server logs before that.

In the last couple of days I added about 25 new recipes, which would have appeared in the Recent Article List, and nothing before that for the last month because I was busy designing/building/translating another site.

So, the problem with those 2 blocks is something Trabis should DEFINITELY look into. I'm sure Mamba would be happy to give him more info.

Anyway, the site SHOULD be back up, Thanks to Mamba, so take a look http://www.franksrecipes.net

chefry,

It definitely looks like publisher is having problems. You might try and use a backup of publisher from 'before' you entered the latest 25 or so recipes - if you have one to see if the latest entries caused the problem.

Yes, all the other module links work. Does publisher use an .htaccess file somewhere that may have been overwritten or corrupted?
A thread is for life. Not just for Christmas.

no. there's no htaccess in publisher.

i did find a stray php file in the sub dir. I have 3 clones of publisher. in the main one, the one that doesn't work, i found the file thumb.php. looking at the contents it doesn't seem to belong there

Chefry, the thumb.php is OK, I've updated the Publisher to the latest version to see if this would help, but it didn't.

Also, the "cloned" versions of Publisher have minimal number of records (700 and 2000 items), while this one has a much bigger one: 14,000, so this might be an issue - with memory or with timeouts.
