Hi,
I need to keep running the following two,

http://forum.snitz.com/forum/ (using php, MySQL & asp)
https://xoops.org (using php, mysql)

which hosting is recommended for this?

Hi,
Here is the response from hosting,

1) 'write' permission has been given to the following directories

* uploads/
* mainfile.php
* include/license.php
* xoops_data/caches
* xoops_data/caches/xoops_cache
* xoops_data/caches/smarty_cache
* xoops_data/caches/smarty_compile
* xoops_data/configs

2) We checked the MySQL database logins details and it is connection fine in local and server send as well.

now what we should check?

Hi,
It is strange that on the same server we are able to setup XOOPS 2.2 but not the 2.4.1? any tip.....thanks

I assume it is the 2.2.6?
Try doing the upgrade with it as explained in the release notes under: Upgrading from XOOPS 2.0.* above 2.0.14 and 2.2.* (using the full package).

(After the upload, verify all files are present with the file check (see release notes))

BTW, what is the value of sql.safe_mode in phpinfo (core)?
