Trabis also started a module "Subscribers", but due to his focus on the Core 2.6, I don't think that he'll have time to finish it anytime soon.

But you take a look into it...

few months ago I asked Trabis to add a new feature to "subscribers" : adding the phone number and unsubscribe feature, and he did, we worked a lot on this module, but Trabis prefers to review the captcha symbol before launching it.
