Thanks! "All types" was the problem.

I can't believe it. I played with this for hours and really thought I had tried everything. I feel so stupid.

I appear to be having a similar issue with Xoops 2.5.0

Mysql Server version: 5.0.91
MySQL charset: UTF-8 Unicode (utf8)

Have an application deployment script that seemed to work ok. and also tried it manually and this also produced the same results.
SO I can manage all system related blocks only and no matter what other dropdowns I select no other blocks are available. :(
I've installed the news deblaser and xhelp modules and can't see the blocks.


How do you change the unicode format?
