Something is definitely wrong with your configuration or directory settings.
I've updated four Websites to 2.3.3 and installed Oxygen on all of them, and never had a problem.

It's working now.

It seems I have a stupid webhost. :(

I get 1.5 gigs of storage and 1 gig a month traffic, but there's a restriction of 6,000 files MAXIMUM.

I had to delete Protector and THadmin to make room for Oxygen. Thankfully neither module was installed

Find a new hosting company.

There a free host. I wrote several other free hosts with domain name support to see if they had file count restrictions, but nobody answered.

And of course, these guys don't tell you about it until you hit the max.

Any suggestions?
