Check templates for modifications ?

If this option is enabled, modified templates will be automatically recompiled when they are displayed. You must turn this option off on a production site.

This is set to NO. I thought it had to be. I guess I don't know what production site means.

Switched it on and did the module update and now I see the | | you had me add!!

A production site is every site used on the internet and available for all users. You should only use stable versions of the modules and the core on these sites.
The option is to set off, because it is more efficient.
But when you do make changes to the templates, you set it to on, so changes are detected and stored.
It seems the diamonds are gone, so remove again the bars (|) and it will be OK.

After you are done with modifying templates, it should be set again, as the explaination tells you, to no.

That is not needed, but we appreciate always when someone reports back which advice or modification solved their problem.
