Before you guys start patting each other on the back over post counts... on one board I am a member of, one of the mods has over 50,000 (genuine) posts!

As of 1200 EST US davidl2's post count reports 4761, down 239 from the 5000 Giga reports above. It is obvious that posts have been removed. Maybe our new moderators are cleaning up the house.

Pesonally, I would like to see an archive made before the moderators remove anything of value to the community.

They should also inform the community that they are deleting threads/posts...

It is funny but I had copied most peoples posts on July 5, 2007!

See them here (post #15)

Before you start a lynch mob, you might want to know who you are going to lynch.

The new moderators are not pruning the forums.

Several week ago, I submitted a proposal to clean up the forums, part of that proposal was a 10-day notification.

I will not post the details of my proposal, as it is just that a proposal, subject to approval or to be denied, or even changed.

Someone higher up the food chain might be doing something, however I have not been informed of it.

Put out your torches, put away your pitch forks, and you there, with the rope, put that back before someone gets hurt.

If something major like this is going to happen, there will be an announcement.

Really, kc0maze has reason. No moderator is erasing topical. It forgives the alert one.

Sorry again.

Thanks for the information.
It was not at all my intention to fan a flame.
The posts were removed by their owner.
I simply thought the mods had begun pruning the forum.

Hi KC0MAZ,
Are you referring to me? If yes, the sentence "The new moderators are not pruning the forums." would be enough. It is you that start a lynch mob, not me.-

In order to stop any other flame war, I know that some people have deleted some of their own posts. If somebody else wants to check that somebody is deleting his posts or not, he can simply refer the mentioned thread and IF there is not any problem, then THERE IS NOT ANY ISSUE!

Please don't misinterpret it.

david removed some of his posts himself, afaik (could be wrong tho), so don't blame the mods just yet...

Yep that is correct! I can confirm David removed his own posts.

No one else did... I freaked out when I seen his posts gone from the threads.

Anyway I understand what happened... I'm cool
