ahhhhh, ok

what do you mean by " which has a realistic time-scale of weeks, rather than months before its ready for launch "

I only have to add the modules and themes, and this one is done,
I even found the other files i was looking for, its a php script.
found it in a search using "cron sql dump"

its still a far cry for what i needed, so im going to stick with the cron.

Basically I mean that if this site isn't launched this year, it will not be very long afterwards

Anyway - I'll drop you a PM later on ... in the meantime I've more databases to manipulate

Ok ive been having to much fun, lol

Ive killed the site ,Ohhhhh i lost count how many times, lol

And in 120 mins, it keeps comming back for more...lol

Any who...

Ive posted a post for other xoopsters to submit modules to place into the testing site, some ideas would be nice, sence i do have about 30 megs of ziped modules...and growing...

You could post the cron job code and useful links, just in case there are other xoopsers looking to do something similar.

so WOW you got it working in pretty much no time, wounder how it compares to the new XOOPS one when it's released.

Im not sure how its going to compare to the XOOPS demo site..

It should look good..

heres the code for the cron job,
mysql -u username_database -ppass database_name < file.sql

this code replaces the sql files in your DB sql with the ones you saved in a location of your chosing.

The count down code that was used in xoopsmods.mmwebsites.com test site works, but the one i have places a pop-up window saying this site will be refreshing in a min.
this code ill keep so I can be uniqe in some way, and not folow others.

Are users able to test the admin, just wondering as I see no admin log in details for users to test with, or perhaps all whom register become admin?

Where are all those themes from, I don't think I've seen most of them before?

The Demo site isn't in competition with anyone .. and we're pleased to see users showing their skills in this way

As both myself and colleagues are in full-time work, and have minimal hours, we're aware our site will have a few more weeks before release - hence no release date yet

I think these have been designed by Northern himself... some very nice ones there indeed

yes most of those themes are mine, I deal with alot of transportation sites.
all in all i have about 200 themes of my own.
Ive aquired a rather large client base. and with this ive found or traind myself on theme design, lay out, ect.

as of right now im about a month behind on orders. lol

i have 3 other poelpe that work with me ( not for me )
and one of which, ill be loosing here shortly, so ill be looking for a coder soon.. hint hint.

as for the demo site, i need to set up the admins account so others can mess with it, sence ive been testing it far to long.
