Take a look at Formulize and their Registration Codes add-in. I think it will be able to provide you with what you need. Get it here

skenow, one word... MARVELOUS!

I don't think it is exactly what I wanted but from the docs it looks like it will be useable and suitable for the project, saves me many further hours of looking to HACK the DB..... :)

Yes, Registration Codes will handle this kind of situation. To control what questions in the reg form are visible to which users, you need to use the "Display" option for each element in the form when you create it. The default is "All Groups" but you can pick and choose which groups should see a form element if necessary.

By doing that in conjunction with setting up registration codes applicable for certain groups, then you can effectively create unique registration forms for different groups of people.

Yes I have seen and looks REALLY good, hopefuly I can now get this site up and running quickly now, I had a minor hickup...

But I finially walked myself through it.... and posted my notes so that anyone else with the problem of a blank screen can be assisted by my hours of hair pulling and cursing.. :) well not really, as I have very little hair left from my other ventures.. and cursing.. well I am polite.. :)
