I was referring to the IIS Web interface for Remote Desktop. Remote Desktop uses port 3389 for communication, but you can set IIS up so that you can make the initial connection to the remote server via a browser. Then the connection is switched to port 3389 for the actual RDP session. It was just an example.

Hi there

I had exactly the same problem with my Apache. But it works beautifully now, on a Windows machine. Just change all the references in your httpd.conf file to represent 8081 instead of 80.

Specificially
#Listen 12.34.56.78:80
Listen 80
becomes
Listen 8081

That with changing the Virtual path works fine, provided all your links are refernced to the virtual path.

Many thanks to all who replied! Editing the mainfile.php file fixed my problem.
